Preserving Sanatan Dharma, One Student at a Time
On the sacred banks of Mother Ganga in Kashi, amidst the spiritual energy of the world's oldest living city, stands Shri Tridandi Devan Prastha Ashram Gurukul, a place where young children dedicate their lives to learning the timeless wisdom of the Vedas, Sanskrit, and Sanatan Dharma.
For these students, the Gurukul is not just a school.
It is their home, their family, and the foundation of their future.
A Life of Discipline, Devotion, and Learning
Life in a Gurukul is very different from the modern world.
The day begins before sunrise with prayers and spiritual practices.
Students spend hours studying the Vedas, Sanskrit scriptures, and traditional knowledge while learning the values of discipline, self-reliance, humility, and service.
They are not just preparing for a career—they are preparing to become the future torchbearers of Sanatan Dharma.
Children Who Have Sacrificed Everything
Many students come to the Gurukul at a very young age.
The first few days are often filled with tears as they miss their families and loved ones.
For some, the Gurukul becomes their only home after losing their parents.
Despite these hardships, they continue their studies with faith, determination, and devotion.
Over time, the Gurukul becomes a family where they find love, guidance, and purpose.
A Growing Gurukul Facing Financial Challenges
Today, nearly 40–47 students reside in the Gurukul, and the number continues to grow every year.
Every day, meals are prepared not only for the students but also for saints, visitors, and devotees, with nearly 45–55 people being served.
In earlier years, generous devotees and well-wishers regularly supported the Ashram with food, donations, and essential supplies.
Today, that support has reduced significantly.
As expenses continue to rise, providing daily meals, education, accommodation, and essential necessities has become increasingly difficult.
The Gurukul now needs the support of society to continue its sacred mission.
