About the Project
Support the Restoration of the Sacred Mata Chandika Devi Temple – Varanasi
Mata Chandika Devi, a fierce and compassionate form of Adi Shakti, is worshipped as the destroyer of evil and the protector of Dharma. She is believed to bless Her devotees with strength, wisdom, and fearlessness. Her energy is invoked to overcome darkness, defeat injustice, and bring prosperity into the lives of Her bhakts.
In the spiritual heart of Kashi lies the ancient Mata Chandika Devi Temple, believed to be thousands of years old. According to sacred lore, this is the very place where the divine idol of Mata was miraculously revealed. Deeply moved by this spiritual event, saints and sages of ancient times established the temple as a seat of Shakti Sadhana (worship of the Divine Feminine).
So sacred is this site that the entire village came to be known as Chandi Gahna, in honor of the Goddess Herself.
Even today, thousands of devotees come from across the country to bow their heads and receive the blessings of Mata Chandika Devi—known for fulfilling the heartfelt wishes of Her children and protecting them from suffering.
Now, the temple calls out for your support.
Time has weakened the structure. The boundary walls are crumbling, and the Shikhar (temple spire)—the crown of the temple—needs complete reconstruction.
Shiv Dhaam Foundation has taken up the sacred task of restoring this divine space, but we need your help and faith to make it happen.
According to our scriptures:
“Jo bhi bhakt kisi mandir ke nirmaan mein apna yogdaan deta hai, use na keval is janm mein, balki anek janmon tak punya aur Mata ka ashish praapt hota hai. Uske kul ke sabhi sadasyon par devi maa ki kripa bani rehti hai.”
“Those who contribute to the building of a temple are blessed by the Goddess for generations to come.”
This is not merely an act of charity. It is an opportunity to serve the Divine Mother and become a part of something eternal.
Let your name be etched in this sacred Sankalp.
