We are seeking your generous support for the restoration of the Parashuram Temple, a historic and holy shrine situated within the Bhimchandi temple complex in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This temple is in a dilapidated condition and needs urgent attention.
The Parashuram Temple is a tribute to Lord Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, who is also a faithful worshipper of Lord Shiva. He was gifted with a divine axe by Lord Shiva, which is displayed on the top of the temple. However, this sacred relic is also deteriorating and requires preservation.
This temple is not only a symbol of devotion but also a significant landmark in the cultural heritage of Varanasi. It is one of the five sacred spots that form the Panchakosi Parikrama , a spiritual circumambulation that grants liberation and purification to the devotees. According to legend, this temple was constructed around the 12th-13th centuries by the Chera king Athiyaman Perumal, but some archaeological evidence suggests that it may be much older.
By contributing to our cause, you will be part of a noble mission to revive a sacred temple and honor the legacy of Lord Parashurama. You will also receive the grace and gratitude of the Sadhus and the divine. Additionally, you will get photos of the renovated temple as a token of appreciation.
